Once your site is designed the files that actually make up your web site must be placed in a special directory on a web server. The company providing this service is referred to as a "host" and the charge for this is "hosting". Equine Web Design offers two types of hosting: domain hosting and sub-domain hosting. Hosting is provided on a month-to-month basis, billed quarterly; or a yearly hosting schedule billed by email. Our servers are set up specifically to accommodate our Equine Content Management features.

Domain Hosting Domain hosting is for those who wish to use a domain name such as yourranch.com. These are typically referred to as "com" sites. There is no charge to register your domain name for you. Already have a domain name reserved? We will transfer your existing domain at no extra cost.*   Domain clients receive a free customized email address, mailing list, referrer statistics, and hit counters at no extra charge. Domain hosting begins at $29.95 per month, or $180.00 per year prepaid. Additional charges may apply for extensive catalog, database - driven, or sites broadcasting video / audio.

Sub-Domain Hosting For those not ready to register their own domain, we will place your web site on its own special directory on our server. Your web site would be accessible as: www.equinewebdesign.com/yourranch. Sub-domain clients can receive a free email address as: yourname@equinewebdesign.com, as well as free hit counters and referrer statistics provided by a choice of third-party vendors. Sub-domain hosting is $14.95 per month, billed quarterly.

ISP-HOSTED:
Many ISP's (the company that provides your internet dial-up service) offer free web space hosting to their clients. Because offers vary with each ISP, it is necessary to check with them for particulars such as dedicated space, cgi-bin and script access, and if additional charges for file transfer apply.

FREE HOSTING:
Free is a good price, however most free web host providers require that their clients maintain ad space such as the pop-up banners similar to what you'll see when you visit a site hosted by parties such as Yahoo, Tripod, Angelfire, Netscape, etc. Many free services have extensive restrictions regarding what content can and cannot be posted to your web site.
