AQHA Doesn't Make the Grade
Strange, but why hasn't AQHA touted it's current media poster horse on the Bouvry Alternative Meat Specialist: Bison, Horse, Beef, Ostrich web site in any of their press releases?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
"...AQHA is not just a breed registry; it's an organization that connects people with American Quarter Horses so they can build a lifestyle around their horses. Everyone's American Quarter Horse lifestyle is different because of the activities or disciplines in which they participate with their horse. Those lifestyles and the diverse abilities of the American Quarter Horse are what America's Horse highlight..."
Everyone's lifestyle is different? Diverse abilities? Is this the breed association we know and love or the politically correct mission statement from the ACLU?
What's next?
"America's Horse: you can rope on them, cut on them, halter them, team pen on them, rein on them, jump them, race them, trail ride them... and then slaughter them. The financial opportunities are endless."
Is it any wonder AQHA is lobbying to defeat HR 857, the bill to ban the slaughter of horses for human consumption?
With [what appears to be] classic Quarter Horses making such fine poster animals for the horse slaughter industry, it looks like AQHA's future media awards may be given out at the next Meat Packer's Ball.
